Young
Adults
The
Footprints class meets in Room 212 and is for young adults
ages 18-22 who are working or college students who still call CUMC
their "home church." They enjoy discussion based on a
short Bible Study and personal sharing. Led by Debbie Pevehouse.
During
the summer, the Young Adults have social gatherings, hold fundraising
events, and sponsor the Appalachia Service Project Mission Trip.
There are about 35 young adults between the ages of 18-20 and 25
over the age of 21.
Adults
Coffeehouse Christians
The class meets in Room 213 and is for adults in their 20s, 30s
& 40s (singles and couples) who are post-college or working.
They will discuss topics that come up in their everyday life and
build Christian support among the membership. They enjoy reviewing
the week's events and discovering ways to cope with problems unique
to the modern Christian.
This class is led by Will Dunn.
Crossroads
Class
This
class meets in Family Life Center Tri Room 3 and is for singles
and couples of all ages and stages in life. Currently studying the
Gospel of Luke.
This class is led by Rev Bob Spencer.
Sojourners
Class
This
class meets in Room 216 and is a wonderful mix of mature couples
and singles in their 50’s-70’s, mostly empty nesters.
They usually prefer topical lessons, always Bible based, with lively
discussion. The current study is "Bread of Angels" by
Barbara Brown Taylor.
The class is led by Janie Spencer.
Genesis
Class
This
class meets in Room 218 and is for young to "experienced"
adults who enjoy in depth Bible Study, using a variety of teachers
and various teaching methods.

Adult
Bible Class
This class meets in the Reception Room. A part of Christ
Church for nearly 40 years. They study the Bible using the United
Methodist Curriculum. The class is currently studying the Gospel
of Luke, led by Linda & Sara Keyes. Contact: Betty Childress

Pathfinders
Class
This
class meets in room 217 and is for all ages and stages of adults
who are interested in lively discussion and practical application
of Biblical themes. The class is currently studying "Parables
from the Backside" by J. Ellsworth Kalas . This class is led
by Cassie Wade.
Seekers Class
This
class meets in room 210 - Mostly couples and singles who are in
middle life stages. Lively discussion on all kinds of topics from
historical events to biography to current events to Bible study.
Current study is based on the book “Growing Older and Wiser”
by Dale and Sandy Larsen. For further information contact Peggy

Discovery
Class
This
class meets in Room 215 and is for couples and singles from their
30's and up. They are a lively class who enjoy sharing the teaching/facilitating
responsibilities.

Branches
Bible Study Class
This class welcomes anyone interested in a class devoted
to scripture-based study in lecture format. Our 2008 Lenten study
is "A Joyful Journey With Paul," exploring our personal
faith journey as we examine Paul's letter to the first-century Philippian
church. Come open God's Word with us under the leadership of a professionally
trained Bible teacher. The Branches Class meets 10:15-11:15 in Tri-Room
