Note: If you or your youth intend to call each other (or friends) during the trip, you may want to determine in advance whether their cell phone plan includes calls MADE or RECEIVED in Tennessee. On certain plans, long distance and roaming charges can be very expensive. Reception is another challenge in the mountains, so you may want to consider giving your youth a phone card to use with a pay phone.

FEBRUARY 3 - $100 – Those who have not paid this deposit by this deadline will be put on a waiting list. Teams will be made based on those who meet this deadline.
March 2 - $40
April 6 - $40
May 3 - $40

*You are invited to a special Service of Blessing, January 13, 6 - 7:30 pm. Our youth will lead a unique worship experience with great music, testimony, Service of Blessing, Time of Meditation, and a special guest speaker – the coach of the brand new football team from the Prince of Peace Academy. AT THIS TIME, you are invited to turn in your $100 deposit during our Service of Blessing – as we ask God’s blessing on these donations, and the teams who will BE ABOUT SERVICE IN CHRIST this summer.

MANDATORY MEETINGS

We realize that trying to find meeting dates that work for all 70+ of us is almost impossible. We also realize that many of you are second, third, and even fourth year participants in our mission trip. HOWEVER, no two years are the same. Especially this year. We’ve tried to cut down on meetings, which means the few we do hold are VITAL.

Sooo, we’ve pulled out the old “Mandatory” word. Adult or Youth… if you are planning to go with us on our 2008 Summer Mission Trip – you must be at the scheduled meetings.

PARENTS: we expect your participation as well. Thank you for your support of fund raisers, meeting attendance, prayers, and encouragement!

Jan. 13 – Adult Leader Meeting – 4:30 – 5:30
May 3 – ASP Education Retreat 9 am – 9 pm
June 1 – Tool Time (Times to be announced later.)
June 29 – Commissioning Service during the 11:30 Service;
TEAM meeting, 12:30 – 2:30

YOUTH AUCTION EXPECTATIONS

It costs close to $600 a person to attend ASP. You pay $220. We have to raise the additional amount needed. HOW?
The Annual Youth Auction is our primary fundraising activity. (This year we will also be adding a couple of additional events to raise funds – please stay tuned!)

While the auction funds raised are also used to help with other youth events throughout the year – the majority of the total goes to our HS mission trip. This is why we stress the importance of your participation with the auction.

On the campus of Stephen F. Austin University in beautiful Nachodoches, TX! Special music by Spur 58! And exciting sessions led by JR Vassar!

This will be our second year to attend a Student Life Camp. Check out the pics from last year’s trip to Missouri! (attach link – I’ll send pics)

Who can go??? All youth! That’s the beauty of this camp. We get to experience an amazing week of music, worship, study, speakers, skits, recreation, our own church time, and GOD together, as a church youth family.

We only have 30 spots reserved… so first come, first served… others will be placed on a waiting list. I hope ALL of you can go!
